Everflow Water is a licensed water retailer supplying businesses across England and Scotland. It was one of the first independent retailers to enter the market following deregulation in 2017 and has since grown rapidly by focusing on competitive pricing and transparent billing.
Unlike default regional suppliers, Everflow Water is not automatically assigned to any business. If your company is with Everflow Water, it means an occupier of your property has previously decided to switch to Everflow Water.
Everflow Water offers the UK’s first 100% carbon-offset water supply, meaning the emissions linked to providing your water are offset through investing in environmental projects. This makes it a notable option for businesses looking to reduce the carbon impact of their business operations.

Business water tariffs depend on several factors, including your location and your business water consumption.
As of early 2025, Everflow Water serves over 110,000 business customers across England and Scotland, marking a 16% increase since 2024.
Unlike some larger suppliers, Everflow Water does not hold default retailer status in any region. Its growth has been driven entirely by businesses choosing to switch, attracted by transparent pricing, simplified billing, and a customer-centric approach.
Everflow Water has become the fifth-largest water retailer in the UK, overtaking two incumbent suppliers. Its customer base primarily comprises small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the company maintains a high customer retention rate of approximately 98%.
Everflow Water offers two types of tariffs: fixed-term contracts and deemed rates. Tariffs are set out in the published charging statement and vary depending on the agreement in place.
Most customers are on fixed-term contracts with an agreed retail fee for the duration of the agreement. This helps businesses manage costs and avoid unexpected changes to their water charges.
If a fixed-term contract ends without a new agreement in place, the account moves onto a deemed contract. These are usually more expensive than fixed rates and apply until a new contract is signed or you switch business water suppliers.
Everflow Water’s fixed-term contracts include practical terms and conditions that help businesses manage payments, stay on top of usage, and avoid unnecessary charges.
Everflow uses an advanced billing system, where customers are billed at the start of each month based on estimated usage. Once actual meter readings are received, any differences are corrected in future invoices. This helps businesses manage cash flow with more predictable billing, while still ensuring accuracy over time.
Everflow Water requires payment by Direct Debit for most customers. If the Direct Debit fails or is cancelled, the customer remains responsible for making payment by another method. Missed payments may lead to the removal of discounts or added charges.
Everflow Water notifies customers 90 days before their contract ends. To avoid automatic renewal, notice must be given during the final 120 days. If no notice is received, the contract renews for another 12 months. Early termination may incur charges unless the customer is a microbusiness.
Everflow Water may carry out credit checks when an account is set up or during the contract. A security deposit can be requested if a customer has a limited credit history or past payment issues. This deposit is refundable once the account is settled in full.
Everflow Water may begin debt recovery proceedings if bills remain unpaid and a formal disconnection warning is issued. Services can be disconnected as a last resort, with reconnection subject to additional fees.
Customers are responsible for allowing Everflow Water or its agents safe and reasonable access to their business water meter for readings and maintenance. If access is denied, estimated billing may continue, and further steps could be taken to enforce access rights.
If previous usage was undercharged or missed, Everflow Water may issue a backdated bill. In line with market rules, backbilling is limited to a maximum of 16 months unless the customer has prevented access or supplied false information.
Customers are free to switch suppliers at the end of their contract. However, Everflow Water may object to a switch if any invoices are more than 90 days overdue. All charges must be paid before a transfer can be completed.
